  • Pretty good entry! To preface this, it's pretty odd that the executable you shipped is an installer rather than the game itself, but this is no matter. Playability: Your game is playable, and it tells a good story. There's a lack of indication you can press spacebar to advance dialogue which made me confused at the lack of context, until I realized my mistake and had to backtrack all the way to the start. Theme: The game innovates on the theme by spreading light through the forest to kill the creature that is putting out the light. Well executed! Cleverness: Due to the nature of the game, there isn't a lot of room for clever features. Artistic Style: The artstyle feels very homemade and I love the aesthetic. Also unintentional or not, the creature looks pretty adorable. The ambience significantly helps with setting the mood besides the dialogue. Overall, super solid entry. Keep kicking ass!

Tell us about your game!
The main mechanic of Burn the Dark is lighting fires to spread light further into the forest, as there's something in there that seems to be pushing back the humans expansion.
Controls are WASD for movement, and E to interact. If you get stuck you can press L to reset the room

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
yes

Extra Notes
