- GDD: Good with highlighted words. Good to included images of the game for game mechanics. Would love to see more of the art included. Glad to see an development timeline included. Game: Splash screen is nice! Main menu is good. Nice to see some sort of settings menu. Art is amazing. However the controls are janky and the quit button at the title bar didnt work. This is very bad player experience. If the player cant closed the game by the quit button at top, then it can be viewed as an untrustworthy program.
Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?

Tell us about your game!
Love in Vein is a psychological horror visual novel.
As such, its mechanics are simple: left click (or enter or spacebar) through the text dialogue boxes and use a left click (or arrow keys and enter) to make choices in the menus.
In this story, you play Jasper Bright, a promising young artist who's just been accepted into the elite Webb Arts Conservatory. You move to the conservatory's isolated manor deep in the woods and meet Abigail Webb, a mysterious artist and director of the program; Belissa Wolf, a sculptor with a sharp personality; and Roger McIntyre, a fellow painter that you look up to immensely!
As exciting as it is to be here, you immediately note tension among your three new companions that puts you at odds with your idol, Roger. Secrets abound as a tragedy unfurls in the climax of this demo!
Note: The theme of the game jam is built into the story, but the first two chapters featured in the Demo don't touch upon it. The Game Design Document does however.
Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?

Extra Notes
Making this game has been insanely fun. I rediscovered a love of coding, and I was delighted to utilize my skills as a webcomic creator to write and draw all of my own story and art.
Creating this has also been very cathartic for me and I think I've ended up with a story that I really want to see finished. So thank you for running this game jam and giving me the motivation to add yet another medium to my storytelling toolbox.
I look forward to your feedback.
