Summarise your game!
In a military facility muscular people are turned into android killing machines, intelligent people's brains are harvested for processing power and people that are none of that are deemed inferior and executed or put into concentration camps. Same goes for political opponents.
A moment ago, Andre was turned into an android. He is very strong and quite intelligent, but his IQ was too low for his brain to be harvested. A few tests were conducted on him to see his capabilities and the next test was his final - he had to prove himself by killing some political opponents which were given the death penalty. It's something he did before and he did it again with no issues.
While charging, Andre encountered an anomaly in his computing. He had a vision of his victims calling out his real name, which he wasn't yet aware of, and pleading for mercy. After waking up, he realized the true identity of him and his victims and went insane, screaming at the top of his lungs.
Andre killed his friends.
That was his wakeup call - the facility is inhumane and needs to be destroyed. However, he knew he can't dismantle the facility himself, so his only option was to escape. He could utilize his laser to do so.
The player controls an android through a series of rooms, using his laser technology. Exploring the different parts of the facility, they need to interact with objects reacting in different ways with both the player and the laser. Doing so may open or close access to certain parts of the different levels.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Because of RPG being the main genre, the theme is mainly represented in the story. We chose the more direct approach. Meaning the player incarnates a literal weapon. That also implies he was made with no other function than killing the enemy. We wanted to question that. What could a weapon do other than its sole function?
