Summarise your game!
My game is a platformer where you play as a beyblade in some kind of cyberspace, bouncing off walls and buzz-sawing enemies while making sure you don't stop spinning.
When I saw the theme, I wanted to do something unique but familiar. Beyblades aren't a conventional weapon, but in their world, they're living saw-blades. I wanted to recreate a beyblade battle against stock-standard enemies to show the two worlds clash.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
I made this game in Unreal Engine 4.23. This specific version is important as it lets you export projects directly to HTML5. I did a ton of research to make sure I could get it to work in browser. Unfortunately, when it came to the day of submission, the filesize was too large for itch to run it in browser due to the 200mb cap. I understand this breaks the rules, and if you don't want to play my game for safety concerns, that's totally reasonable. I just thought it would be better to submit it than to give up right at the end.
I wasn't able to fully flesh out the game due to poor time management and joining the Jam late. I will do better next time I do something like this. :3
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
I am particularly proud of my collision system which flings the player away from anything they collide with.
