game summary--A rain-conjuring mage, long-scorned for his mostly-useless power, becomes a key defender in the fight against the fire cultists descending on the towns and the villages of Hathersia. The Grand Duke and the Duchess of Hathersia deploy the player (the raincaller) to various location around the duchy, along with enough of the rare magic orbs resource he needs to empower the villagers with the tools needed to protect their homes, not knowing that the Duchess is secretly in alliance with the cultists.
player experience-- On a single ‘board’ of pre-generated tiles full of obstacles, objectives to protect and fuel for the cultists to burn, the player will manage their resources - mana predominantly - that will allow fire-fighting villagers to operate. Location introductions in the loading screen and pre-combat banter will also help ground the player immersion in Hathersia.
Controls-- WASD to move camera, Left mouse Button to select object, Right mouse button to move unit into new green square, Enter to skip Dialog

Extra Notes
this was a lot of fun to make and a great learning experience for everyone involved, as it was the first time for any of us to make a game. we all plan on working to make for games from here on out and will likely be updating this project as well as time goes on
