Theme: Consuming/Expanding

Consuming, eating. Expanding, spreading. Voila! Buttered toast.

Story:
My brother and I wanted to do this together now that we are older, grown and don't always have time to spend together collaborating. We ended up on this idea because it is a bit silly but also a more technical challenge than it seems. The painting effects require a good deal of math and knowledge of the texture systems in Unity, calculating all of the pixels in an shape that may be rotating about some axis as you fiddle with the knife to apply butter and jam.

Our hope is that this is a cozy experience with a bit of 'j a z z' that leaves an impression even though it is intended to feel very simple.

Controls:
Click, Mouse Wheel, Click & Drag all to interact with the toast, painting on butter and jam and ultimately get the high score for an incredible creation!

Mechanics:
Knife movement rotation and other activations

Knife sound effects when scraping the bread (hilarious to me)
Lots of other sound effects throughout to add juice

Applying butter to the knife

Applying jam to the knife

Texture Lerp/blending mechanics to blend all the colors and existing textures together to create a nice visual effect when applying butter and jam

Painting mechanics that fade over time as you run out of butter or jam, which is reflected in a fading paint texture and color. Make sure to reload!
Sound effects and a surprise effect when you get a 'new toast'

A score system that judges your commitment, butter to jam ratio and style
Style points calculate how often you apply butter and jam WHILE using the rotation mechanics, which can be challenging
