Why this way to touch the them?
There are many contradicting things in society, as well as different feelings in people that can not only make it hard to understand and mirror those we look up to, but that some things are seen as 'wrong' even if they may hold merit. Thus this touches on what would happen if the mirror opposite of what society wants happens.
