What did this game do well?

The game mechanics were well executed. The trail was really well done. The sound effect combines well with the game, the platform jump part gives players a chance to correct direction in-air Good infinite vertical scroll game. Camera shake, movement effect and some of the sound effects were good. It was fun to play! I liked the variety of effects for game feel. I especially liked that you could press the jump button to turn on the trail effect instead of having to click the option at the bottom left of the screen. *Sound effects and landing dust special effects contributed a lot to the game feel *Scoreboard was a nice touch. Multiplier kept things interesting The game’s mechanics is very complete and runs well. The gameplay is very simple, but with a clear purpose and easy to play. It also has a lot of toggles which provides different game feels for players to experience (I think this one has the most toggles among the three games I reviewed

What could this game have done better?

I wish the player sprite was more engaging or matched the theme of what looks like space. The trail system counters the player needs to focus on the location of the character. Maybe use a different color on the trail make it less visible and just give a feel of speed for the player. If I press’W’ the character keeps jumping, make it a click action would be better. If possible add some simple animations. The movement needs some polishing as it’s too ‘smooth’. A more rigid movement so that you can be more certain of where your jump and input directions would take you, would be a good enhancement. Some sound effects could have been different in terms of the choice. I think if a similar button press activation feature was added to the rest of the game feel options this game would have been improved, especially since the game started immediately and was timed. *I felt like the game idea was not novel, so maybe there could’ve been a twist added to keep things interesting. The game also felt repetitive after a while The tracing effect can be a little bit distrubing. Also, the graphics can be improved and it can have more animation elements.
