What did this game do well?

****************************

I really liked the use of game feel for this game. The shader and shoot animation especially really show the difference game feel makes.

I really liked the implementation of 'game feel'. The game definitely seems like a different game without the particle effects + animations. Also game is really addicting! Nice job.

Very nice animations and fun idea. Without any of the toggles on, it is a vastly different game, so good job with the assignment.

The CRT screen VFX was very unique and definitely added to the game's feel.

Like the special effect for shader! It really give a vibe of playing the game in an arcade machine.

This was a very well executed idea for game feel, really shows you the difference especially when enabling recoil.

I really like the aesthetic. It's a good game mechanic to scale for this assignment, and shooting things is fundamentally fun. The scaled movement of your gunhand while you aim is pretty great.

What could this game have done better?

****************************

N/A

The screen shake was slightly excessive, was a little nauseous at the end of it, combined with the shader.

Bullet sounds seem to happen before contact with the target is made. Could have been cool to add some bullet marks on the back wall when a shot misses. Can be hard to see the combo counter when the colors get darker.

The hand holding the gun had strange movement. Though I understood that the target/mouse controlled where the bullet hit, the gun covering and being locked in the bottom right corner of the screen was confusing, especially when it followed the movements of the mouse, and then suddenly stopped when I moved a bit further to the top or bottom of the screen. I feel like this gun can instead be mapped with the quarter of the screen to the entirety of the screen, in a 1:4 ratio.

the animation of the arm movement is not really following your mouse in real time, and it sometimes will lose the impressiveness. Not sure whether it is meant to like that or not.

The shader didnt really do much for the game feel, but everything else was great.

I think the actual movement of the gunhand could be finetuned a bit more to actually aim where you're aiming, rather than a approximate vibe.
