What did this game do well?

****************************

The concept, art, and mechanics are all really good. I like the way the buffs and curses work and it is fairly intuitive in nature once you understand all the controls.

It demonstrates the concepts of resources well using health (core resource of gameplay) and the wishing system (trading mechanics).

I liked the movement and animations on the main character, the graphics in general were nice. It definitely felt and looked like a survivor game and had proper resources for the player

Really liked the aesthetic and the risk vs reward between choosing certain builds and going for certain things. I think it was easy to play but the different monkey paw choices kept it fresh and fun to play each time.

I really liked the sprites in this game and how the concept was new and novel. I felt that the mechanics were very cool too.

I think the resource system is pretty interesting with the wishes and balancing it with the other mechanics which is pretty unique.

I really like the idea of mechanics being the resource, it really personalized the gameplay experience and opens up the game for lots of replay value

What could this game have done better?

****************************

I wish it was explained in game how to use the mechanics and the monkey paw. There could also be some more balancing and fine tuning.

Rock barriers should probably be removed since player can get stuck in them and just lose. Walls could be a different color. I wasn't sure how to wish or collect hands since the key for that wasn't on the itch page/presentation so I played the game without wishing.

I honestly wasn't sure how to progress in the game, and I think that I couldn't die properly

Just needs some balancing, because some combinations were a little game breaking. Otherwise, it's great.

It was a little difficult to start playing this game, and I think I would have liked to see a little more of a tutorial in the beginning.

I think the controls could be a bit easier or more standard but overall I thought the game was pretty fun.

More places in the game to learn what does what and explore the different powerups
