What did this game do well?

****************************

3d game gives player a different angle and experience from 2d(maybe the first 3d-based prototype in class?) .

This game is definitely unique. I really like the island theme and trying to find resources that you need to survive. I reminds me a lot of Minecraft, needing resources to create things that would help me survive. I like that it's simple, yet feel sophisticated.

The concept and execution was pretty cool, and I like the way the map is set up.

Resource nodes are a great idea and the fact that they randomize each time you click on one is a good way of making the game challenging.

It's pretty cute. The game actually uses resources very well because the game has lots of things to do involving resource management. Additionally, the stamina bar and constraining the user of doing certain options because they dont have the funds is amazing.

What could this game have done better?

Maybe a tutorial will help starter to understand the game. for me i die quickly for times at the beginning.

I feel like this game has a bit of a learning curve in the beginning. I feel like it can be a bit confusing to people who just start the game. I also feel like there could be ways in getting hint where the resources could be, instead of it being purely random.

The stamina bars/map icons were a little confusing, and I feel they could have drained gradually over time except corresponding only to actions to make the gameplay feel a little more challenging

It isn't intuitive that the nodes change every time you click on one. The first playthrough I had no coal, and 3 food nodes and thought I could never sleep again.

If this was like an actually playable game, sort of like minecraft it would have been much more enjoyable. Just a screen of buttons gets a bit boring sometimes. Additionally, a tutorial of sorts so I could figure out what was happening would be so cool because it took me a bit to figure out exactly what I needed to do.
