What did this game do well?

****************************

The game has exactly what a prototype needed, the core gameplay, as well as some basic UI to show what I am playing for, as well as how many chances I get.

elements are clear and big enough to see

I like the life system and how the triangles crumbled, also very easy to understand game and minimalistic

The concept of using gravity is interesting. Simple and easy to understand and keep going. Friendly control and difficulty resilience.

Game gets increasingly difficult & simple but interesting in concept. These things make the game have high-replay value.

The game is well designed in overall gameplay and have some leeway for mistakes. I also like the mood the game gives off

This game had embodied the theme of minimalism really well in having only a few components that came together to make a game that is clearly understood at a glance.

What could this game have done better?

****************************

The UI text could have been slightly larger. It is a little too small to see my score and more importantly, the amount of lives I have.

the jump trajectory could be a curve

Game needs a little more depth and fun, could add different obstacles or player movement (not controlled, but just varied such as always falling down a little after a jump) to add something different

When I first play this game, it reminds me of a very old game called 'gravity guy' on ios while in that game, play can even constantly change gravity to remain in the air. So, for this game, the concept might sounds innovative than most of other obstacle avoiding game. But as its lack of machniques, the essense of this game is still the same as most of the game demos we saw in the class:

Switch left and right to avoid/match obstacle/shape. Also, most of these are just limited inside one vertical/horizontal dimension like any running game. So, I believe just one more rule to include could make this game even better.

None

Game stays mostly the same while playing, there is no difficulty curve and the game becomes boring

The game could make the jumps mean more because it's essentially a reaction test and you don't need to pay attention to the side the spikes are on because you can just jump back immediately if you realized in the end there is a spike there.
