maybe the first prototype based on beat. nice idea.
The concept of the game is very cool - to attack on the beat/tempo. I like how the color of the bullet changes and there is a screen shake to indicate that you are on the beat.
The controls to move, aim, and dodge work well. The visuals are clear to see what's going on.
I like the concept of the game, the idea of incorporating rhythm into a game like this is quite unique.
The levels were fun to play and had good balance of challenge and fun
I like the idea of being able to switch tempo to change the speed at which you deal with the world.
Having two levels

What could this game have done better?

also you could add a graphic indicator for beat to help understand the mechanics. for example the beat style and different bullet.
I think it would be nice to have some sort of combo system for being on the beat (that can act as a damage multiplier or something along the lines of that) and to have more varying enemies. It would also be nice to have more variety with the level design or terrain so players would have more experience or interaction with the level/its environment (ex. have one level be fire themed).
There was an issue where I was unable to actually shoot, and I'm not sure what the 'tempo' is supposed to affect.
The music is quite loud, and I feel that the actual level design was a little confusing and didn't teach the player much about how to play the game or how the mechanics work.
The tutorial helped but it took me a few plays to fully grasp the mechanics
I don't think it's immediately apparent what the tempo does in game there also isn't anything prompting me to try changing tempo in level 1.
Mechanics weren’t really intuitive. Level design felt bare. There was only 1 mechanic as opposed to 3
