What did this game do well?

****************************

Everything is telegraphed well with particle effects, including chests that have stuff and are empty. The cursor changing to indicate if it's in range or able to act was also communicated really well! The collectibles encourage exploring the whole level for all of the goodies. Having enemies blocking certain parts to make players have to find a light to turn off was also really smart. Also the visuals and bgm were really solid!

I loved the sprites and vibe so much! I thought they executed the game theme perfectly, and I felt like it was easy to understand and fun

Great concept. I liked the level design and the special items you can collect. Makes the player want to revisit the game to find more goods. Love the particle effects.

I like the concept of the game as well as the UI and the game feel. It is a very good level design and fairly easy for players to know what they need to do as they start the game.

The design of the game is very solid with proper juice and particle effects to match the theme of the game. The core mechanic is well defined, and the particle effects are a great indicator for how the player should interact and progress through the levels. There is immediately great foreshadowing with how to interact with the world and what kind of enemies/ obstacles there are.

The enemies have a deaggro system which is forgiving but can seem kind of silly.

everything honestly. it was very well done. I really enjoy the animation

really polished game with smooth difficulty resilience. The intro do guide the player well

The game was fun to play and collect things, I really liked taking the time to explore the layout of the dungeon, I also really like the turning off the light mechanic, made the game have some strategy

I like the way they have visulized the sight of the enemies. This lets the gameplay better

What could this game have done better?

****************************

A player can just jump in a crate in front of an enemy and just be seen. Also in the second level, the player doesn't really have to explore the level to make it to the end, though the ranking might still motivate them.

Honestly no criticisms, maybe a harder difficulty for future iterations? But for this week it was amazing

After the witch spots the player, they chase for quite a while (maybe I'm just a bad player).

I thing the game could have done better is making the first level a little bit more straight forward. I think it was a little bit more on a difficult side than a simple intro level.

The collisions with the player object and enemies could be adjusted to better illustrate the depth within the game. The collisions with the enemies can be frustrating when trying to play the game fast without relying on the stealth mechanics of the game.

I wish the enemy ai was tweaked a bit. once you get caught by an enemy, its instantly game over. I wish you were able to run out of the enemy's view and safely continue the game

the detect area seems like have little glitch that going throught the wall

The AI could be designed better, it doesn't make sense why they leave after they know im in the box

The controls are bad and not very engaging
