What did this game do well?

****************************

Incredible aesthetics, good use of shaders and particles. Overall looks amazing with all of the gamefeel effects.

The sense of place and atmosphere in this project is very well conveyed. The subtle visual and audio choices build up to something that feels alien, weighty, and both familiar and foreign. I can see myself wanting to play a game in this setting just based on this single, relatively simple scene.

good color map and shader

it is a very uniques concept and executed well

This game is full of juice. The player bouncing up when the monoliths fall, the sand particles when they rise and fall, the smashing sound when the monoliths (including the ones in the background) and the slow light pulsing all make me feel like I'm a little guy in this endless dark space. Only thing accompanying me are these giant blocks constantly rising and falling. Great work!

What could this game have done better?

****************************

To be honest this project does everything well that it sets out to do. Maybe there could be more game elements to gamify it, but it isn't a big deal since that wasn't a requirement.

The player character and movement don't really feel attached to the setting. With such an intimidating backdrop, I think it would really amplify the presentation if the player felt small and weak compared to the titular monoliths.

one small bug: when the middle rectangle going up and the character touching it, the character will disappear suddenly.

Although the concept is good, it is not engaging and also confusing.

There's already a lot of juice as is, but it would be nice if the monoliths continued rising and falling after the player jumps on it. Also, I feel like the player should be able to jump off the wall instead of having to slide down.
