What did this game do well?

****************************

Had elements and an idea for a theme, interactive with objects

It hits all the necessary game feels. I really like the ice/fire idea, and it works well with the game feel. The camera shake with orange glow when the ball hits the fire works really well with this game feel idea.

There were a lot of different game feels which was nice to play around with. The smooth motion was satisfying. Without it, it felt heavy. The camera shake for the camera was nice. I liked how the screen changed colors while it was shaking.

screen effect in fire really makes me feel burnt

I think that this prototype absolutely nailed the prompt, and the fire effects were insanely cool. I love how much the screen freaked out when you went near it.

I thought the concept was cool, getting to see how things react was an interesting way of including game feel(s) in the prototype.

The fire intensity is phenomenal. I really like how when you get closer to the epicenter of the fire, the screen shakes intensely, and the screen color changes. When you get further away from the epicenter, the screen shakes less, and the screen color is subtle.

I really like the movement of the player character, it felt like I was driving a car around. The Ice was interesting to smash into. The fire had a nice screen shake effect

I really loved the way the circle moved when the effects were turned on, it was also very satisfying running into the ice

What could this game have done better?

****************************

Wish there was more impactful feel on touching the objects, whether it was on the objects themselves or on the player

The Dash game feel is significantly faster than the original speed. I feel like if the original speed was a little bit faster or if the dash was a little bit slower it would've been better just for the user experience part. A little bit more of an advanced graphic on the ice would be nice as well, instead of a blue square.

Adding animations would make the game feel better. It would've been nice if the player could hit the ice cube a few times, making more cracks and then eventually breaking it.

player movement is sluggish, if smash sound can adjust it's volume based on the impact speed it could make more sense

I think that the sprites could have matched each other a little better for the fire and ice. The fire looked very realistic while the ice was just a blue block.

I think some animation or particle effects for the fire and ice when the player got near them could have really added to the game feel.

Better gameplay. I know the game is just to show the effects and being able to toggle effects, but a game utilizing these effects would be icing on the cake. When I saw Fire and Ice, I thought the game would be like Fire and Water, a 2 player game

I would like to smash the ice more. It would be nice if the fire and ice could interact in a way

The fact that the art style for the ball and ice was so simple clashed with the fire making it look out of place
