What did this game do well?

****************************

The concept is really cool and it is a fun simulation to continuously just watch. The health bar chip damage is a great touch too.

I like how visually simple the game is. Almost all of the effects are really impactful for the game. The screen shake and sound effect helps with bringing out the damage effect (the damage flash was subtle but also was a good touch). I really enjoy the chip away health effect - it makes it more clear and obvious to the players that damage is being taken. The trail effects also was great for recognizing the speed in which the ball was moving. The effects brings out the beyblade vibes very well.

All the effects in this toy are very well done and satisfying, kind of like watching the bluray dvd symbol go round and round. Overall the UI for the game is very solid and make for a good experience. The reference to beyblades is great.

I loved the chip away health bar similar to League of Legends when there's big hits. When combined, the effects do really well together and create this really captivating and interesting visual.

This game is very mesmerizing. The trail effects, chip-away health, and arena shake makes it feel like two Beyblades are going at it.

This game is a very aesthetically pleasing and smooth experience. Its a very nice watch and you could probably use it as background video for certain things. The effects being a button is a nice touch because certain effects might combine well with other effects, but not every single one combined. I especially like the clicking sound as it is very pleasing to my ear.

It is satifying looking balls bouncing and hitting. The sound and effect fits well with the theme and gameplay.

What could this game have done better?

****************************

It would benefit from more interactivity from the player.

I think it would be nice if there were more sound effects (such as when the ball bounces off the walls) or background music. Additionally, given that there was more time to develop the game, I think it would be nice if there was a way to give the users a way to control the movement of the ball. That way it'll be more of a game than a toy.

The game is really wide, making it kind of hard to load on my monitor without zooming out in the browser. The sound effects are effective, but they are a bit sharp and a bit jarring. I think it could be turned into a full game by giving the play some agency in how they launch the balls. The health calculations are a bit hard to understand and don't seem to be intuitive for the player.

As it was mentioned in class, the one thing I'd love to have in this is some level of interactivity where I get to launch the object into the ring, as I think with some of your current effects it could make that sequence very satisfying and memorable.

Feel like the SFX of the blades should be metallic sounding instead of plastic. Sprites would complete the game's feel.

More interactivity in my opinion. Although it is fun to look at, the replay value really doesn't hold. After the first initial 5-10 minutes the art of the game goes away and it just remains aesthetically pleasing to look at . Additionally maybe a way to customize speeds and bullet effects on hit would make this game funner to play.

maybe add a BGM
