A nice game, too bad there are some problems like the sword swing animation which is too slow, or the lack of feedback(The variety in the decorations too, the ground is always flat, without texture.)
Arcade roguelite, rly fun to play. Like the idea that even diying gets u money. Its very similar to my game for the jam but in 2D and pixelart.
Seems like the slimes attack too late, so u can basically kite them and attack, so u wont get any damage at all, got past the first rooms like this. Ill get the damage done asap or make the attack of the player slower or hit later idk if that makes any sense.
Great little game tho!
yeah, I didn’t know how to make it so the player can avoid being hit, but not just cheesing to avoid, I think if I added and invincible dash maybe
I got a little trouble hitting the slimes until I found the best way is to hit them from the right-side while moving upwards. I was able to get to the chest!
I like the roguelite progression you can have by killing enemies and getting better equipment. The Sprites and animations are cool too. Getting the slimes to gather and kill them in batch was very fun actually!
You have achieved a lot to create so much content in such a short amount of time all while learning the Godot Engine. This game could be really fun if the combat was improved and with a bit more set dressing for the levels. Also, it is essential that you have some indication of what the controls are for the player and perhaps some story which can motivate you. I could not get the chest to open and so I could not get the silver key to open the silver door. I think that you probably ran out of time during development, but overall I am impressed with what you have achieved. Well done!
Thanks, could you give a suggestion to improve combat? I was also of thinking of adding more upgrades and upgrade levels. And I didn't have time to get everything, like a control guide, but what do you mean silver key and silver door?
There was a part of the map to the south with a door which I could not open. I assumed that you needed a key to be found in the chest located to the east of the map however, the chest would not open either?
I believe those were unrelated errors
