"I hope you're in a better place. Because I'm not." WOW, I was already slowly tearing up and this really got to me. This was really beautiful and made me cry. Great job, you guys. Although it didn't really feel like a game per se, but I don't care, I love anything narrative so I'm okay with it.
Although, mechanics wise #3-5, it was difficult to move onto the next one, I had to click around multiple times until I finally somehow clicked in the perfect blind spot to get to the next one.
Y'all really signed me up for a feels trip without my permission. Excellent job creating a mood! The story presents itself very cleanly and well paced. The ability to control the dialogue speed was very needed and a good pit of polish. The art is stellar. The writing was fine, but it's not gonna win a BAFTA or anything. It was a little too angsty and not enough mysterious. The music is super important to selling the feeling, good choice there. I think my only criticism on game play was sometimes the scene I picked wouldn't go through right away when I clicked on one of the blank spaces in the board. Sometimes I'd just click it a lot until it played.
If you want to expand the game, this format could make for a really interesting mystery or a point/and/click mystery. There's a solid scaffolding to build off of, though not too much gameplay. It's really more of an interractive cutscene. That said I enjoyed it a lot and really loved the attention to detail. Good work both of you!
