- Good job on completing the jam! Some things to consider: - The core shooting mechanics are fine, but there is room for improvement in terms of sound effects and animation. There doesn't seem to be much visual representation of a successful hit (half of the ammo doesn't disappear on impact) and there is no audio input. Adding both of these aspect will add a considerable amount of polish to the game. - The current UI is functional but lacks polish. Consider redesigning it for better aesthetics and ease of use. Clear and intuitive menus contribute significantly to the overall user experience. - Consider implementing a rewarding progression system to keep players motivated. This could include unlocking new weapons, skins, or abilities as players advance through the game. Overall, good work team!
- It was pretty intuitive to start (although I would word the stat points as something other than "time", I thought that was just a static timer), but the game got steadily challenging and I ended up having a lot of fun with it! The controls made sense, but the perspective was a little surprisingly. I felt like I was travelling around a sphere of some sort, and without any sense of the background moving, it threw me off a little. But again, once I figured it out, I even had tactics to stay up! I'm not sure how this connects with the theme, and I am amused looking at the game's initial ideation; that was some ambitious scope, there! I'm glad despite your initial grand idea, you were able to make something playable and even fun! I think the art is the bare basics, but honestly, that's all you really need to make the game go. The first change I'd suggest to immediately make the visuals (and gameplay better) would be a simple background with some variation in texture. It would have made movement much better and stop me from running straight through enemies far too fast because I couldn't judge speed. A shadow beneath enemies might help with aiming at ones higher on the screen - again, the perspective messed with the positioning a little. Overall, pretty fun. I think the music was a good choice, and kept energy up. The only thing that would make it more replayable is a high score or some kind of level tally. That way I'd keep trying to beat my previous score.
