- Gameplay: The gameplay for this is a solid foundation. The controls need work though, as the images provide non-intuitive descriptions of what to expect. (especially the drag to select) Creativity & Innovation:I'm not sure I see the connection between the mechanics and building connections. There is building, and growing your colony, but that isn't the same as building connections. An alternative could have been making the resources akin to trade routes, instead of finite? Theme Adherence: The idea to use ants is really cute and novel, so I wish we could have seen some more by leaning harder into this concept and the jams theme. Playability & User Experience: The controls mostly worked, but were not intuitive. This is critical as you don't instruct players on HOW to play, or have a tutorial/controls button on your landing window. People need to know how to play your game, and if you are deviating -at all- from immediately recognizable expectations, you have to be explicit about how players are supposed to interact with your game. Art and Design: Cute art, I could clearly tell what was ants and ladybugs in the pixel art style. Overall Fun Factor: I'm not sure if it was the ants in tandem with the jams theming or not, but I really wanted to see more/this idea expanded. I don't know if I quite see the "fun factor" yet, but there is a lot of potential for it. As an overall comment: Great base concept that could use some work shopping.
