  • Genuinely great! Not only did you make a playable game without any clear, game-breaking bugs, but you had several levels, including tutorial levels, AND you stuck with the theme of the jam clearly. Especially for a solo dev, this is really quite impressive! The puzzles were mostly simple, but I'm really quite impressed with your tutorial levels where you actually added mechanics, and they worked smoothly. Additonally, the "click" visual that told you the controls. You even had some humour in there by hiding a node behind the text. I will admint, I was trying to click and drag at first, and was making bridges of like 20 nodes, but once I realized it was just a click and click situation, I got much quicker at it. The game runs quite smoothly for me. No bugs, no issues. The game's visuals were clear and responsive to player actions. It was even kind of fun! Sure, the mechanism has been done before, but you weren't aiming to make something never-before-seen, you were making a playable game. You succeeded in that. The only things I think 100% needs to be removed is the long disclaimer at the start, the "(horrible)" part of the title, and the credits that mock your work. The game is not trash, and I hope you know that from the comments and from this one professional game dev's feedback. Only game jams with very high level developers working in teams will come up with actually impressively high quality games. Try playing some of the other games submitted to the jam, especially those that don't seem to have eye-catching visuals, and you'll see that you're amongst peers. Good job. I hope you learned something new in the jam and that you'll try making more games in the future.

Its very impressive with the limitations of the Scratch system and the time constraints. Your tutorial aspect is great, i knew exactly what i was doing and when i needed to do it. Is level 6 possible with only 3 nodes though? If it is, i couldn't work it out. Overall its a good game. Great Job!

Developer

Thanks! About level 6, you were meant to put the first node as close as you can to the switch and then use the gap at the top to connect it to the exit. The other levels are 10x easier though because I suck at level design

Why are you so hard with yourself? The game is actually enjoyable and you did it in one week with scratch! Be proud of youself. Well done!

Thanks, I felt like this was bad because I had homework and a job to do and I also started a couple days late so it felt a bit rushed
