  • Gameplay Straightforward gameplay and straightforward controls! I would have a dedicated key to press to make text go forward rather than rely on arbitrary times, but the time chosen was enough to let me read everything without issue. The white outline to indicate that someone was within interaction range was very clever and helped me know who to talk to! Creativity and Innovation It was a fun story and a good twist on the theme. Because it was wrapped so neatly into a narrative, it made it easy to care from the get-go and want to continue playing. Theme Adherence The theme came through nicely with the focus on helping a friend and using resources to do so. I enjoyed how it was presented and explored. Playability and User Experience Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the game as the bullies would only repeat their lines and no one else would talk to me. It was a bit sad because I had enjoyed playing that far! It might also be that I just couldn't find the next step. I liked the contextualization of the gameplay as someone looking for a friend and talking around to help. Art and Design It felt very cozy! Very put together vibe all around, the details were clear and fun to look at. The simplicity of the art absolutely helped the gameplay, and the music enhanced everything. Overall Fun Factor Of what I was able to play, everything was very immersive and engaging! Because the story was simple, I didn't have to worry about too many details at once, and I could walk around more freely and explore. Things were presented in a way that kept me wanting to reach the next step.
