The story concept was really interesting! It was neat to see the ancient Egyptian mythology mixed with the modern, relatable sounding dialog of the soul (the "where's a good therapist" line was one of my favorites)! Also the graphics are really beautiful, the way there were particles and splotches in the background and foreground really gave it a void-like feel! And the twist definitely came out of nowhere, nailing the theme on a head in a way I had yet to see!

Also, awesome and fitting music. The intense theme really suited the fight, especially when the beat dropped!

Well done with this!

Love the intro "tunnel of light," the overall scribble style, and the cool looking parallax background. Liked all the jokes ariah52 was cracking, too. Once I learned how to jump on edges, the platform part wasn't so frustrating, and I enjoyed the journey. The art, music and writing smoothed out all the rough edges, so gg!

thank you! we worked really hard to make sure that the artistic direction of the game all melded into one cohesive ball instead of having stark contrasts. i know atleast in my case that i went through a couple of different draft idea for the music until i settled on something we really felt fit the prose

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the jokes. I love the music and art style as well!

Good stuff! Platforming took some getting used to (had to die a few times before I figured out how to reach all the enemies), but the story's cool, and the art is top notch. Keep it up!

Thank you. Glad you were able figure out the platforming bit after a few tries! Great to hear you enjoyed the story and art :)

I really enjoyed the game - short, but sweet.

Features some great graphics, full of little particles and with this doodle/painting style that's very recognizable. And the music is so well done!

A little bit of humor here and there, topped off with some more action battle segments.

And oh, what a great twist at the end! Went dark all the way, and I liked that a lot. That final shot with the hearts...

Some of the jumps in the action segments seem to be a little bit off. Not sure if by design, but as long as you touch a wall you can keep jumping - and that makes some strangely lenghty jump more doable.

The attacks are nice tho. The sword swing looks powerful, and the projectile is very useful.

Seems the enemies aren't activated by being hit and only rely on distance, meaning some of the flying chasers will stand there as you shoot them from a safe distance. Having them activated by attacks could've solved that issue, possibly.

Awesome entry nonetheless - A fun experience all the way through.

thank you very much for your detailed feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as you did, honestly the combat scenes was a last ditch effort to add some form of gameplay but I'm glad they weren't a drag to complete.  Again, thank you for the review, its highly appreciated.
