hey, sorry. can you hear me?'s itch.io pagePlease describe your game, and why you decided to make it,
"Hey, sorry, can you hear me?" was made when I felt really lonely and depressed to a point where I felt unreal. Like a ghost: just an observer to life, and nothing else. I made it to vent those feelings out, whatever way possible. I still feel depressed (and even worse than the time I made the game) but it soothed me at the moment of publishing.
TW for mentions of death in the game. The player always starts the game through that theme after all, as they become a ghost.
It is a lyric game, so the gameplay can get pretty abstract. You pretty much talk to the objects around you and get to explore those things' connection to you, your present place or someone related to you, to put some examples.
As for my design methodology... I sincerely have no idea. I just vibe with what feels more matching to the game I'm making. In this case, it was the emotion I was feeling; thus, I made communication with one self important to the game. (I'm sorry I'm really bad at explaining my thoughts)
My intended audience for this game was people who felt lost like me at the time of making it.
