Wow, I loved how you entirely took a different way on the concept! 

At first it seems like a very thought out game with many mechanics. But I think you really made a nice game. A little bit more polish and this might turn into a skill-based game. Maybe consider decreasing the time it takes to change the weather? (Or was it area- based?) Also, a little improvement in the jump mechanic will give the game a wonderful feeling! Also The sunlight and light shadows makes the look so pretty!
