  1. What did this game do well? (Answer in a few sentences)
    • This game is quite fun and challenging, and can be played by people of all ages. I like the integration of music into the game as well as the light background which contrasts with the colored shape in the middle as well as incoming shapes
    • The game is intuitive and satisfying to play. It is possible to spend a long time trying to get a high score. Simple but never gets old.
    • I like the concept of the game. It is minimalistic in terms of style and controls, but not overly simple. I like that the speed of the incoming blocks increases as you progress, which adds difficulty.
    • This game did a good job in Minimalism. The game goal is clear, match the shape with the hole, and the player need not do extra think about what they could do. Also the challege level is that the shape would move faster and faster, leaving diminishing time for the player to operate. By the way, the 8bit background music is suitable for minimalist game.
    • It is a great game! It'll be hard later because the simple shape will move faster. It is a game to help us improve and train our agility.
    • 1) Easy to understand. Players can quickly know that they should match the shapes. 2) Player can distinguish shapes and hole by color. 3) The speed of shape is suitable, giving player enough time to change hole.
    • The difficulty ramp is nice and smooth. The premise, i.e. central mechanic, is solid. I can feel myself trying to memorize the progression of shapes so that I'll be able to press space the right number of times as soon as a new shape appears, which adds some learnability and interestingness to the experience. The simple music matches the simple shapes. The game is also effective in stressing me out and causing me to fumble as speed increases.
  2. What could be done better? (Answer in a few sentences)
    • I remember the color of the shapes is suppoed to give the player some reward. But when I first played it, I got a bit confused. I guess it would be more fun if the color conveys more meaning.
    • Too much text guide is redundant for this game. As TA said, minimalist game should be self-explained. And without the guiding page, the player could also understand the mechanics. If it's necessary to preserve the guides, they should be formatted and arranged better, like captializing the first letter and centering the hints. Also, the whole game use RGB and black color theme, while the scoring board has a slightly differnt orange color theme, which seems  a bit discordant.
    • The UI can be more beautiful, like the style of introduction words at the very beginning.
    • While the mechanics are solid, the game could benefit from some simple "sauce". For example, the piano riff could speed up with the shapes, and the shapes could make some kind of satisfying sound effect when they enter the hole. Sudden-death feels a little harsh, difficulty-wise.
    • It would also be interesting to make the player's job trickier by adding shapes that travel at different speeds (so that the player will have to predict in what order they will reach the hole) or even adding deceptive shapes that pass by the hole and do not need to be "caught" by the player.
    • 1) Add more different shapes; 2) Player can have more lives. Currently, player has only one live, I think it's a little easy to make player disappoint.
    • While the increase in speed of the incoming blocks is a good feature, I feel like it increases a little too quickly. If it was a little slower, players would be able to play for longer and ultimately feel more satisfied when playing your game.
    • I think the game should speed up as time flies by

I think more shapes should be introduced to make it more challenging

I think the game should deduct points for an incorrect match, instead of ending the game
