Use of the limitation
For this jam limitation, we chose the 4 color palette "Nymph GB Palette" by Kerrie Lake, with the addition of white for 5 colors. With this palette we tried to go for a "GB feel", so we also used the GB aspect ratio. The 5 colors limit was a little difficult but fun.

This game was really good fun and I particularly enjoyed the sound effects and aesthetic. The areas were cool and felt like they all had something new, and I liked the touch of being very generous with where the player could kill enemies from. One thing I would change is that when you die after the first few sections it can feel frustrating to have to redo what are now the easy sections, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It was fast paced and the fast and agile controls really sold the robot to me, though it would have been nice to have an indicator of what they were and some of them didn't feel very intuitive, such as the A key not meaning jump. The style was chosen really well and felt very immersive, and as I said before the sounds made it feel very juicy and sold the robot and machinery vibe. Awesome game!

Developer

Hi Jazzed_Iceberg,

First thanks for playing the game and give us feedback.

It's great that you enjoy the sections in the game. We really try to came up with a lot of fun ideas to challenge the player even more with each step.

And we agree with you that a checkpoint system would be great for some parts of the level. It was something we try to implement but time and lack of knowledge end up in leaving the mechanic for the next update of the game.

We take also your feedback about the controls and it's something that we are also gone to change in an upcoming update.

Again, thanks for playing our game. And we already share our feedback about "It's a buggy game".
