The concept you used is simple and widely used, so when making simple concepts one might need to look for what and where he can innovate. Other than that, I found that most of the dragons spawned diagonally (pointing outside of the screen) which made them fail every attack on me. Also, some of their attacks seemed to be despawned before getting to me. I enjoyed the art and the music!
