Software used
I used the Godot v4.0.2 engine.

Use of the limitation
Instead of just being sent back in the game when you die, there is the added feature that guards will then focus the area that you died in, and leave other areas to do so.

Cookies eaten
I think like 4, maybe 5...

I really liked the game! It was super fun and addicting, loved the decoy mechanic too! Although I didn't really seem to quite see the "enemies focus on the area were you die part". Still, it was a super fun game, congrats!! :D

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed! The enemies focusing on the area you die basically just meant when you continue at the beginning area after you get caught, there will be less enemies in areas before the one you got caught and there will be more enemies in the area that you got caught. I definitely agree that I could of made this more evident in the game. Thanks again for trying the game out!

Ohhhhh, that makes sense, pretty creative way of implementing it!! :D

Very cool. As others already said, some sound effects would've been epic, but the game is still good and enjoyable as it is and the simple graphics are nice.

Pretty good stuff for a first game and a first jam entry. Good job!

Developer

Thanks, I'm happy you enjoyed my game! I'll also be sure to add more sound effects in future games for sure.

Love the gameplay, but starting back at the start every time got a bit tedious. A quick tutorial at the start would also have been nice.

Developer

I'm happy you enjoyed the gameplay, I agree for sure that a tutorial would be great, I added a section of how the game plays in the description though there is a lot of text down there and I think the game would have played smoother if there was a tutorial.

Love the use of the limitation and found the game simple but fun, a small thing to add would be sounds but I know this takes a lot of time, but maybe just a simple music track as I think it will make the game more intense.

Developer

Thank you Nev, I will make sure to add more sounds for future projects and while I have a sort of ambience music in the background, I agree that it doesn't always fit the intensity of the gameplay. I'm happy you enjoyed my game!

Haven't finished it yet, but this game is awesome! Visually it's so simple, but you've incorporated a fun puzzle/strategy thing into it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the guards can see me through (what I think) is a wall XD.

Love it! Definitely gonna try to beat it in future.

I'm happy you had some fun with my game! The enemies seeing through walls is something I noticed was a problem when making it, but I ran out of time in order to fix it. Thanks for the feedback tho, and if I were to update the game that will probably be the first thing I'd fix.
