Not bad, but sadly the game seems very unfinished. I couldn't find any way to finish the game, you couldn't get caught, I could use any items, etc. Not bad at all for a jam, congrats! :D

Use of the limitation
Dying changes the world around you for reasons that due to time constraints forgot to be explained in the world. As I didn't get much time on level design, the only change is a new NPC spawning in the world.
