Really neat concept! I like the discovery mechanic, but it definitely could use some work, but I really like the direction. Also, fantastic work on the background image. I love how simple it is yet at the same time conveys so much. Nice one!!
Really cool! I love the concept! I kinda wish there was more to the blindness, like everything will create an afterimage and slowly fade away if you aren't consistently echoing. But all in all, great game, good job!
The game explaining its main mechanic before even showing the menu is an awesome idea, it introduces you to something that you will be constatly using later on, however, I don't think it was exploited to its full potential. Making the enemies show anyways if they are close makes the main power kind of redundant, as they will appear no matter what.
Instead of just making enemies and bushes appear, it could be exploited more if it worked like a second dimension. When you are blind, you see one path and the enemies of that path, but if you are not blind, you see other paths and enemies. This way, you can make puzzels and hidden obstacles or paths, and make the main mechanic way more interesting.
However, it is an interesting concept, I'm sure you can extract more juice out of it!
This has some promise! I would have wished for more forgiving mechanics. You fall off anything if half the sprite is outside the plateau. And that makes it very easy to miss jumps. Speaking of missing jumps, I ended up at the bottom of the map, outside of the camera, and didn't die and respawn.
It was an interesting concept with scanning the environment. Didn't get passed the purple doors though, so I can't speak for the rest of the game, but I would have liked to see more of that skill and what could be done with it. Getting to the menu was awesome, having to press Z to reveal it. Very aligned with the theme!
