What was your theme you chose?
A game where you learn from halflings in a wide-open procedural world.
Any obstacles you found while working that were hard to overcome?
Figuring out lighting and fog for the game. Technical issues: Hard drive filled up, light maps took a while to bake...
Anything you had to ultimately cut from the game due to time or lack of knowledge?
Intended to have a castle/maze with a menacing character who you had to evade to beat the game as well as entire villages of hobbits and other interactive objects to speak to and learn from. Also wanted to do a procedural (infinite) terrain.
Anything really cool you learned?
Lots of stuff with lighting and GUI things.
Do you think you will continue this project?
Probably at some point
