It reminds me of the story from Grimm's Fairy Tales. The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs. The ferryman who spent his whole life on the boat left his last passenger the next ferryman and free himself. Nice allegory.

the perspective shift into the painting is slick

^^^the visuals are really nice, love the color scheme and the hover effects (or mouse click effects) on the objects. this is like a mini novel you made into the game where you can decide the ending

The ending is dope and I'm ready for the sequel, could totally try turning this place into an escape room and tricking the portrait/demon guy back into it!

Love the visuals, and the look of the creature is off putting, yet still in line with the simple visual style...and the ending is awesomely creative and terrifyingly implicative. 10/10 would get stuck in a painting for eternity again.

I like the way that the game crashes when the monster wins––I also like that said victory is literally inevitable. Not enough games do that.
