- Design/Gameplay: Interesting Platformer with a nice, theme-fitting mechanic. Puzzle Elements were there. 4/5 Polish: Music, Options, Menu, Quit button (in browser though?) and Pause screen are good. Tutorial was integrated in first level, also VFX and SFX. Altough there were some ground-bugs (invisible mini-walls). Other than that pretty fine polish. 4/5 Presentation: Nice visuals, selfmade music (which sometimes wasn't playing in-game?), empty, but customized, itch page. 3/5 Technical: Limb throwing was incosistent (looking right, throwing left) but an interesting mechanic. Seperately controllable seems rather complicated. 3/5 Theme: Well integrated theme with gameplay as well as visuals. 5/5
- The main mechanic is fun and creative, allows for sophisticated puzzles and I enjoyed the basic levels you made. On the other hand controlling the zombie felt a bit underwhelming and the hitboxes were really driving me crazy. You spent good time caring for presentation with the assets and the music and the joke with "Dead Sheeran" could shine nicely with a little story to follow along. Even though the lack of polish is very apparent, I think you did a really well job in incorporating the theme of the jam with a simple, but effective solution!
Which assets were/were not self-created during the jam?
All scripts: coded by us.
Animations: created by Frames4Motion (Manu)
Particle effect: Base idea out of asset store but tailored to the game by us.
Models: from the asset store, but changed to fit our game
Did you encounter a game element that was problematic to implement?
Player control or the detachment of limbs and then switching the controll to those
How does your game fit the theme?
Detachable limbs
