  • cool film!
  • Lots of ambition here! Some really funny character moments. Great to see a full short film using this medium. Well done on figuring out the technical aspects to give the performances. All the best for your future in animation.
  • A great film paying homage to 007, love the geometrical style and shape of the characters. I particularly liked the use of foley sound, from the foot steps to gun shoots. However sometimes the sounds where a little jarring, instead of have complete silence when there isn't any effects. Keep a consistent low key themed music maybe. Overall great film well done!
  • Nice low poly visual style to this, however would be nice to have a little more detail on the environment design to help add to the story ( i know this is an animation focused peice though ) On the opening shot on the building, this could have had text appear to state location, Date etc ( like how typical spy movies have ) just again to add to the story and set the scene for the viewer ) small details like this add a lot. Mocap worked really well with the characters, just a few parts that could be cleaned up a little to remove glitches and obvious loop points. Also, times when characters intersecting with props and environments i.e - 01:24 when he presses the button on the wall. Room doors flicker and appear glitchy. These are just small details that would give a more polished feel to it. Edit could be a bit tighter and increase pace when neccessary, like when the guards come and he needs to escpae, this is where pace and tension can be increased. i.e 02:51 the guards shooting, they shoot for way too long and then he takes his time to hide for cover. Bond is great at dodging bullets, but this pushes that a bit far. would be nice to see a few shots added to tell story better at moments ( when the smoke screen hides the guards, it would be helpful to see him at least begin to leave his position to continue with his escape ) and some more dynamic shots would add a lot. This has great potential.
  • Interesting avatar design though nothing going on in the character's faces to judge performance. Needed much sharper editing/pacing in the video. A LOT of model merging going on which was distracting. Acting was intuitive and well framed with good use of film language which chimes with the filmmaker's ambition to produce cut-scenes. Some very good choreography of mo-cap with the CG scenes (eg, lasers), although very clear that they are leaning a lot on the tech here.
