I manager to control the crane after trying a lot of random keys, could not figure out what the "laser pistol" is or do, I got a few pieces to play with, froze some of them. I did not understand the goal if any and as a sandbox building game it's mostly unintuitive.

What works :

  • You can control a human character and a crane, spawn some pieces, move the pieces with the crane, freeze pieces.
  • Pixel art is simple yet most elements are clear (a character, a crane, a "portal" door) and convey their purpose

What should be improved:

  • Explicit the inputs (you can still update you itch.io page description) !
  • Excplicit the goal or the sandbox nature of the game (you can still update you itch.io page description) !
  • Controls feel very heavy ! You want far less inertia if any, you might even want to quality of life platformer things like coyote jump, input buffering, edge catching at landing for example.
  • Some sounds and musics would be nice
  • Some intro / outro would add the the percieve quality
  • A button to quit the game (not everyone is confortable with alt+F4)

I guess this is a first time entry, you still achieve some kind of playable prototype and got some art and programming works. Keep going !
