Really nice game! Wasn't too tricky to implement the file fix. I'm a big fan of the style and concept's very fun. Had a good time playing this!

Regarding the bug you ran into, we are aware of it and unfortunately it went unforseen until after the deadline for the gamejam had elapsed.
RamblingStranger (another of the devs) details a fix for this below, but we understand this may put us in a tricky spot regarding the competition (the fix does not require a new executable - just a sound import file to get music working the way it needs to).
All that said, if you're interested in playing the game as we had hoped to present it, follow his instructions.

What a fun game! After following the instructions the dev gave to get the game running, (see the note from them below!) I was introduced to an interactive puzzling platformer. Think jigsaw puzzle meets parkour.
There was a moment in the second level where I reached a checkpoint with one less piece than there were available, and started me to think about how to use the least amount of blocks possible. Very cool that this game has that level of possibilities.
Loved the overall aesthetic! The music was pretty catchy lol
Developer Note: Some people are running into a bug where you can't switch between build mode and climb mode. We've narrowed down the issue to one file that's needed next to the executable.
This may disqualify us for the jam, but if you're running into this bug and still want to try out the game, download the file two_left_socks.ogg.import and put it in a folder called "audio" next to "Paper Peaks.exe". The folder structure should look like this:
- Paper Peaks.exe
- audio
- two_left_socks.ogg.import
