The idea is great and while I managed to connect to instances of the game running on my computer I couldn't figure out how to connect two instances over the internet, even with port forwarding enabled on my router. An option to enter an ip/hostname would have been nice for that.

It's just a misstep on my part. Since I was solo I was kind of tired and pushed the wrong version of the game, that uses Mirror discovery instead of direct IP connection.

Does this game require two people to play? I couldn't play this at all and I think I could only move down and right.

Yes, the game requires two people to play. Sadly I didn't have time to fully finalize the multiplayer pairing feature. But thanks for trying to play it ^^
