didn't see a runner game with this idea before! gameplay was nice, but I didn't get what does the number on the flail means and on that conditions it breaks the chain with the platform

The number on the flail is the flail's durability, which reduces as it breaks a rock. The flail breaks when the number reaches 0.
As for breaking the chain, swing the flail with enough force and it will break off from the platform. You can use it as a sort of projectile that way.
