Do you spend every GDQ glued to Twitch for 168 consecutive hours? Does wasting a solid week totally throw off your rhythm and destroy any momentum you had? Is that super annoying?
Why not make a video game instead?
GAMES MADE QUICK??? is a zero-pressure game jam for people who would otherwise waste GDQ week doing absolutely nothing. If you're going to be up to your eyeballs in video games anyway, you might as well make one while you're at it. It's an excellent chance to learn a new platform, try out an idea that's been lingering for a while, or dust off an old project you started but never released.
Time starts when SGDQ 2017 starts. Time ends 24 hours after GDQ is scheduled to end.
This is the 1½th GAMES MADE QUICK???, hooray! I previously held one for AGDQ 2017.
If you need a theme to get the juices flowing, I heartily encourage something ironic, such as difficult to stream.
Q: But I don't know how to make video games!
A: That's not a question. Also, this is an excellent time to learn! Might I suggest Twine or MegaZeux or the PICO-8 or asking more specifically on the forum?
