Bridget Jones, Adrian Mole, Earthsea, Discworld, Sandman and His Dark Materials series
Tell us how your game is inspired by one of the BBC Novels.
We took inspiration from diary-form novels like Bridget Jones' Diary and The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13¾ to create a solo writing game that takes the form of a diary. We created writing prompts inspired by the classic 'Hero's Journey', and a deck of cards featuring quotes, characters and themes from four iconic fantasy series: The Sandman, Tales of Earthsea, the Discworld and the His Dark Materials novels. The end result is a game that tells a dimension-hopping story, leading the player through "Life, Death and Other Worlds" as they tell their own unique tale of adventure and discovery and create a keepsake they can return to again and again.

The design of this game is absolutely stunning. So much thought has gone into selecting the perfect quotes from the books and then pairing with beautiful illustrations. I really want to give this a go and already have a notebook that I have been saving for a special occasion!
