An interesting read, I do hope that we can find non-violent means to improve the state of the US political system. Unfortunately, I think you are correct in assessing that we are more stratified and distracted than any time in recent history and I wonder if/when we will hit a breaking point.
It feels like our 2 part system and the strength of the 1% is going to make the rise of any true visionaries difficult, but I'm still holding out hope, I keep thinking that these increasingly unlikable political figures and worsening conditions for average citizens will wake people up to the need for change, but concerned that social media echo chambers and distractions will keep the ratchet effect alive and well for the foreseeable future.

I do think the text is incredibly hard to read against your chosen background. I ended up copying and pasting it into a plain text file to better read it.
