  • Cool idea switching weapons, but I could not figure out how to make the sword useful. I like how the charge of the bow is indicated by the length of the arrow. Good stuff.
  • Certainly meets the criteria of 'fragile' - no defense and no way to recharge health means I died quickly. The Shmup aspect seems to be that using the sword is a certain death strategy, so I relied mostly on the bow and arrow. I wasn't sure if charging the arrow just increases speed or if it also deals more damage. Game suffers from inability to shoot other than horizontally, and movement controls in a browser often created a problem where the browser window itself moved, and then the cursor left the gameplay area and I was stuck while trying to click back into the PICO8 window. So it would probably be more playable in a dedicated app or on a console. Character turning into a red rectangle when taking damage looks like a work-in-progress kludge. Slowly drifting background image made me uncertain whether I was floating in space with a monster who could only marginally control its own movement.
