- Wow this is a cool little game. I liked the whole atmosphere, and I really felt the fragility! I like tying the special moves to health, and the particles really made things feel crunchy and fragile. Plus the weird vectory nature of the player ship was super interesting, and I liked that the bullets emanated from an actual point on the ship.
- I do love a good fragile Bosconian clone. Inertial zero-g spaceflight sim + shmup on PICO-8 is actually amazing. I liked the dynamic that you start out needing to get more health in order to use some of the more powerful weapons, which means you're on a downward trajectory of fragility one you start taking damage. Mobs are vicious and quite effective. Explosion effects were good. Gameplay gets very out of control with crowds of mobs very fast. Shields and area-clearing bombs were a nice touch but this was a VERY hard game! I think the sfx could use a bit of refinement, and the ship appearance could be more polished, but otherwise an excellent effort.
