Cabin in the woods

Describe your game
A small simple puzzle prototype game. The movie Cabin in the woods is a satire on how a group of people are in charge of executing classic horror tropes. I wanted to have a similar satiric take on the genre.

You play as an 'operator' in charge of feeding a monster.
You can earn 'favor' for every victim and use this in the next round to make the game easier.

Initially I planned for more monsters, levels, traps and types of survivors. Unfortunately I had to focus on getting the basic gameplay loop working.

Super interesting idea for a game, Cabin in the Woods is a uniquely "game like" setting for a movie. I like the carry over in the favour system, as well.

Great work :) The interactions feel clean and the overall gameplay is tricky, but well done. I think it would be useful to have the survivors be distracted for a little longer, as its quite tricky to get them to stay in place long enough to get the monster to catch up.

It also seems like the monster sticks to a single target for too long, for example, when a survivor sees the monster and flees to the car, the monster will follow all the way to the car before  redirecting to another survivor. Its a solid foundation for further development though! Keep it up :)
