Super game. Caught me off guard with the blood particles. Took me a while to work out how to defeat the second boss.
😍 Started playing your game and thought, 'Oh, how cute!' Then, the twist totally surprised me - poor little elves! 😂 Loved the innovative idea and the gameplay is super fun. 🌟 The art style? Absolutely charming! Great job, really enjoyed it!
This is a very neat little game. I love the combat system and the platformer at the same time, it leads to a difficult game. The pixel art look really good, and the particles are really clean. I was kind of hoping for a horror game in this jam, and I found one!
Once I got to the santa I couldn't figure out what to do. I really liked the snowmen melting effect. The game was prety laggy playing it in html though. I think a part of that was the particle system used for blood from the elves in that second screen.
Yes, I am aware of the lag due to particles, I trusted my PC too much! However I agree that I should have given some advice on how to deal with Santa...you should hit him with the candy cane and somethin interesting will happen. Thanks so much for the feedback!
Oh I'll have to check it out again. How do I switch back to the candy cane?
When you pick up an item, in the bottom left corner of the screen there's an indication to which number the player must press to select it.
Actually their purpose is not very clear XD
