Cultural Value(s)
Coming to Óbidos was a really inspiring moment that helped the developers of this prototype to get to know another type of theme that we are normally used to work on, in this case, Literature and Óbidos.

The culture and the experience that got into us to develop this game was truly mesmerizing. We integrated "Livraria de Santiago" as our main "level" or area that goes along the gameplay and adopts this feeling of literature that was the main purpose of this game jam in Óbidos.

Game As Culture
We felt empowered because we started brainstorming many ideas of how we could develop this game, and suddenly we reached to an idea that could be in a certain way innovative and enjoyable for gamers and non-gamers.

Game Through Culture
This game is influenced by Óbidos culture, which is mainly related to literature and castle. We tried to add its cultural value, that is the literacy and represent the library, not 100% accurate, but in a way that the place could make the players that have already been in this place connected to Óbidos culture.

Game for Culture
Our game tries to contribute with the literature aspect that the reader as it, literally, reads, the time flies and sometimes it is hard to track it. We thought that developing an experience that makes readers feel more "immersed" by changing the environment around him while he is reading a certain type of book would deliver another type of experience as a game and for literature.
For example, the objective was to give the reader a "Ocean" related book, and the library around him would change so that it looks like he is in the ocean with some fishes and elements that make him feel like he is in the ocean.
