  • Hi Morgan, I think overall, this is a well built scene and has some interesting layouts. The style reads well, and I especially love how the mirror looks with the breakup in the roughness. Here are some suggestions for pushing this even further: 1. A bit more loose items on the floor to help lead the eye around. I'd love to see some socks or garments by the bed, or something by the computer desk (bags?) to help give the scene a much better 'lived in' feeling. 2. I'd tone down the emissives on the wired bulbs along the walls as they are pretty strong and the overall lighting doesn't match. 3. I love how you've adjusted the overall colors with your post volume, but I think the lighting here is a little flat and uniform. You have a couple of computer monitors that are on, but don't feel very emissive - nor are they providing much lighting here. It's a good opportunity to help create a focal point in that corner. Play around with some more color / lighting keys - perhaps there could be more moon light seeping in from the windows, or maybe the lamp provides a whiter light instead of yellow. 4. I'd have loved to see some LODs for the denser meshes here - or in general. It's pretty easy to setup, but in this specific scene might not come into play. In a production environment, we would typically ask for it as these assets could be used elsewhere. 5. Create some focal points in the scene and build around those- paint a story with some strong lights and asset placement. Maybe there are some shoe scuff marks and dirt because it was a little muddy outside and some of it got onto the rug. Have one of the drawers open slightly with something stuffed in there, or a slightly wet umbrella propped by the the door frame and so on. 6. Focus on creating a master material, and create instances for your props - while it may not seem necessary now, this will help you in the future with your workflows as you can simply make a new instance for your assets and plugin textures. Also consider assigning those materials onto meshes so they're not using the default grey material.
