A solid little client with some good proof-of-concept demos for testing functionality. It does indeed stay in one room! No story or gameplay here though. I looked at the code and whereas it seems organized enough, I couldn't find much in the form of comments or documentation to guide my eye.
Before I leave a rating, am I missing something here? The landing page says the developer hasn't uploaded a game yet, and the web client seems to start you in a void with a very limited command set.
You haven't missed much. There is no game to Spigot. Its primary purpose is to help drive the Grapevine web client forward. Stuff like OAuth if you're signed into Grapevine, new modals, testing the gauges. Its secondary purpose was to test out a new code architecture for MUDs, so that will be the more interesting side of the game jam for this entry.
